~Performer Info ~
~ If you plan to perform, you need to arrive and sign up before 8 pm and have your music ready. All music and devices need to be provided 10 minutes before the set starts unless you have already provided it ahead of time.
~ There will only be a total of 14 performance slots (7 per set). Once all slots have been filled, the show is full. No performers will be added to the show once it starts.
~ Please sign up and send music in advance. Walk-in's will only be allowed if space is available (Registered performers only).
~ Please be respectful: Solo performers have 4 minutes max and groups 5 minutes max. If your song is longer, it will be faded out when the limit is reached. Less is more!
~ If you'd like to perform please plan to dress up or wear something more interesting than street clothes. This event helps promote our local bellydance community and we want it to feel like a bellydance show. Appropriate attire is expected.
~ Performance, music, and costuming must be family friendly. *No exceptions. This event is open to the public.
~ If it looks like it will be a full show, the lineup will be made in advance. It will be based off music, props, dance style, group vs solo dancer. Please be aware of this if you plan to dance twice. We reserve the right to limit multiple performances so that everyone gets a chance to perform.
~ All dancers dancing to live music will be placed in the 2nd set. All live music will perform prior to any recorded music in the 2nd set. It is preferred to let the band know in advance which song you want to dance to for live music so that it can be included in their set list.
~ DO NOT enter the performance area during someone elses performance .
~ No zilling or playing music during someone elses performance slot unless it has been agreed upon.
~ We reserve the right to remove or end a performance early if we deem it unprofessional or inappropriate for our show.
~ Finally if you have any doubt as to whether your performance would be appropriate for this Bellydance event, please send a clip of one of your past performances to me and I'll let you know. **New performers MUST register in advance if they are interested in performing. No walk-in's for new performers.
~ Music Info ~
If you are dancing to recorded music, you are strongly encouraged to send your music in advance. Email an mp3 file, or a link to a downloadable audio file to: email@example.com at least 3 days before the show and make sure you get verification that it was received and able to be downloaded. This does not guarantee or save your spot. You still need to arrive before 8pm to sign in.
If you do decide to bring your music to the show there are only 4 acceptable Music formats: CD, MP3 player, Ipod, Phone. Nothing else will be allowed - no exceptions.
~ CD (preferred) - Your performance song needs to be the only song on the CD, in Audio format only, and clearly marked. **Always check to make sure your CD works by testing it in your car and your stereo.
~ MP3 player/IPod/phone - Your song needs to be in a separate folder, easy to access, and ready to play, and at the beginning of our song. If your phone does not have a regular audio jack for a headphone, you must provide a dongle that allows a headphone jack to be plugged in. We do not have Bluetooth capability. If it has a password, please add a sticky note with the password so that we can open it easily. Please remove the phone case.
**NO STREAMING MUSIC ON YOUR PHONE (the music must be on your device, as we can't guarantee network connectivity at the facility).
** NO TABLETS OR IPADS.
